Ahsan Qadam is a sub-branch of the Hope Uplift Foundation in the efforts to combat the country’s rising inflation by providing meals to the underprivileged free of cost. Operating from an on ground location in Gajjumata, Ahsan Qadam is nested within the industrial areas just on the outskirts of Lahore. The food shelter works 7 days a week catering to almost 300 workers from nearby factories, and providing them fresh hot meals at lunchtime. The food shelter enforces strict rules of hygiene and cleanliness, and encourages it’s visitors to clean up before and after themselves. Along with daily food distribution, Ahsan Qadam currently have close to 150 families registered for monthly ration packs. Apart from food, the organization works tirelessly to provide clean drinking water to underserved areas of Pakistan. By collecting donations, Ahsan Qadam sends out their teams to scout locations and transport machinery to help construct fresh water wells to communities in need. The organization works tirelessly to provide back to the community through the help of it’s generous donors.
